Christelle Inema

Christelle Inema is a Because of Her Story intern at the Data Science Lab at the Smithsonian where she is using data science tools to study Smithsonian women in science.  Inema holds a BA in liberal arts from Soka University of America and studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris. She also completed the Data Policy and Summer Scholars program at the University of Chicago Harris Public Policy. Inema completed internships with the Rwandan Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion and with the Iriba Center of Multimedia Archives. Prior to that, she worked as a teaching assistant for the Rwanda and Arusha Learning Cluster, a course focused on post-genocide historical memory. Inema's academic interests include Data, Economics, International Development, Social Equity, and Global Conflict, and Resolution Studies.
